0-60 time for the 150 TDi is 7s but the 0-80mph is 13.1s compare that to mine 7.6s to 60 and 12s to 80.

Yeah but you can only do 70 mph on british roads anyway..

you have a car that revs tho!! you get to 5000rpm in the diesel and you've gotta change gear..........doh!!!!
but you have to admit for a diesel, it is quick!

and they have lots of torque . I still have gear ratios which are chosen for my power band

so according to that the 150bhp TDI is quicker than the 1.8T GTI!! and does 43mpg, I want one

Look at the 'in gear times' thou.

I very much doubt if you're 50-70 in 5th is anywhere near that

The golf is miles heavier than your biscui... I mean clio.. the faster you go, the less the extra weight of the Golf will effect it..
If you raced on the dual carrageway 50-100 my moneys on the golf

only been in a 130 but the torque levle is amazing as u wud expect, 30 to 70 is very quick,
