Bought a 17" one and it has a dead pixel in the middle of the screen, is it worth taking it back, or does this happen alot?
cheers

Worth taking back... especially if it's brand new. Laptops are notorious for dead pixels after being knocked about, but a desktop screen really shouldn't suffer from any visual problems this early...

most companys have a limit on how many pixels must be "dropped" before they will accept it back.

The screen is classed as faulty if a pixel is dead, you are well within your rights to return it and ask for either a refund or exchange.
It does happen on some screens, really depends on the quality. But definatly a fault.
