Been playin ma new guitar all evenin since I finished work, tips of ma fingers are now red raw & sting

I think mine are gona start bleedin soon!

Only been playin a day now, never ever played a guitar before in my life! Can read tabs, used to tunin it now and can nearly play Behind Blue Eyes (it's a simple tab/rythm so easy to start with )

get some rough sand paper and wen your watchin tv or summin just keep banging your fingers on it. this will hardedn you skin and wont hurt we you play

get some fret oil will save the pain on ur fingers

will have a look into it, im still fumbling up the strings a few times, dont really have long fingers so is a bit hard to reach certain string/chords, but i guess given time i'll get better!

how much is fret oil?

I believe the term is

"I got blissters on my fingers"

You will find the first few times hurt but after that the ends of your fingers go hard and it becomes a lot easier.

if uve never played before ur fingers arent probably used to it. nm fret oil. playing just hardens ur finger tips.

it hurt me for a year. b4 my fingers started to harden up!!! 6 years l8r.. they dont hurt at all any more

a year i only took i think 2-3weeks now it feels like im rubbing the sole of my foot. i had a go at just (radiohead) the other night and quite enjoyed it. What effects pedals do people have.
