you bought an mp3 CD playing head unit?
burn the mp3s onto a CD and save them as a data CD, not a music CD

Any CD burning software, just drag n drop the mp3's onto the CD. Save as a data disc, and finalise it. I use Nero. You know where you can get it

Any cheap CD-R will do. As for number of songs, it depends on size of CD/average size of file. For example, if the CD was 700Mb, and the average filesize was 5Mb, you would get 140 tracks on.

Right lads I have done it and have about 97 tracks on the cd its copying now but it looks as though there is only going to be one track should this happen or will it automatically space all the songs out so I can skip betweek songs or have I done something wrong, I suppose its a process of elimination when doing something like this so if I have done it wrong this tiome I will get it right next time thanks a lot, Paul...

It will create a root folder. All the files will be stored in this folder. You can make numerous folders and search through them on the h/u.
Put the disc in the player, let it read the format and you can listen to it like a normal cd and search and ffwd just like before.
BTW i have had 167 songs on one disc so more is plenty reachable.
