OK jus bought some Jl Audio subs an a Trax 600w amp whats the most effective way of connecting everything up to the battery/ head unit to produce the best results. I need to know where to run the wires, an where to drill to get access to the battery, help guys an gals

Buy a wiring kit,It'll have everything you need.
Run the wires down the cills,all the trims come of fairly easily with a t25 torx screwdriver and a philips one.
There is a rubber grommet behind the battery you will be able to feed the wires through,just cut a small slit in it.Be sure to find a good earth aswell,bare metal is better than painted.
Try and run the RCA leads on the opposite side to the power leads,It'll double the time but should help to avoid any feedback from the alternator.
Tidy all the wires up with zip ties/insulting tape for a neat job and make sure you secure the sub and amp down securely.
