Ta mate,
elephant insurance is pretty good, also got a quote for a 106 gti, £1286, presume you could pick up a MR2 for cheaper than the 106 tho.

Might go for the 106, newer, potentially less problems.

Cant believe the quote, rung around a few months ago and the quotes were all £2k+. I already pay £1200 on my corsa!

Scooby, lol i wish. Couldnt afford one and i think the insurance would be too high on that.

Will have about £2kish next year plus whatever i sell my corsa for.
Im only a poor student you see

Kerzo- well i want something relatively quick, and i suppose you are always gonna have to sacrifice MPG figures when moving from a 1.4 8v corsa Ive heard the 106's aint too bad on the juice anyway.

they are pretty cool motors, think id go for the 106 though. MR2 would be nice, but id rather have something a little bit newer after thinking about it.

My mates H plate MR2 returned 40mpg on a good run. It was totally reliable. The engine is bulletproof. I bet a well maintained 10 year old MR2 is more reliable than a 5 year old pug.
And the MR2 will sort a pug GTi out speed wise.
