smooth a boot? Anyone got comprehensive instuctions??!?! easiest way, is it to weld a plate over, what are the other options.

I should imagine when you get to the laces part it gets a bit difficult...

you can get a fibreglass skin that sits ova it all and you smooth it in and paint it up

take it to a welder and have a plate welded in (if u can not weld)
then do the smoothing yourself
