Just taken the gearbox off my car ready to give this bloke at 2pm, and just thought I'd see how much of the clutch was left, as when the car was still on the road 7 months ago, it still felt like a fairly new clutch even though it had done near 30k miles.
Just took it out & had a look, and its roughly just under 1cm thick! looks like there is plenty of go left in it, even though its now going to become a rather interesting, yet dangerous frizbee!
I'll get some pics up later, as I'm still working on the car now, but what is the normal thickness of a standard clutch for a 1.4 8v SPi???
