but how much did they charge for your performance engine parts?

they dont charge for engine mods, only if u change the cc or number of valves!

are right just on there website it says will cover you for all mods except performance enhancing mods.so if you tune the engine this means you have altered the performance if i'm correct?

must be different if you apply online it defanately says cannot insure cars with performance enhancing mods

and yes they told me only changing the cc of the engine will effect it.

I got told from HIC that the only thing that will bump ur premium up is NOS

no, but please tell me how they could possibly tell that i have modified the engine? the screws i turned can be adjusted anyway by a garage at a service, all i did was optimise the performance by fiddling with them for ages until i was happy.

Try explaining that concept to the driver of the Ferrari you might crash into. Insurance is not there just to cover your own back.

very true, but what im saying is that i wouldnt claim for my own car, only the other parties.

therefore they would have no reason atall to look at my car. unless its under extreme circumstances.

I rang liverpool victoria last year for insurance, was 21 at the time...

had 2 yrs NCB, and they were very dubious about the mods & said i'd be lucky to get cover

only had alloys, full 'zaust, coilovers, V6 brakes

will try again some other time when new engine is in...

fair dos, well they are sending it too me in writing, she just listed the areas of modification and said they dont take specific details, just aslong as i have proof ie photos and reciepts then they will pay out.
