herd on the radio at work today that the goverment are tryin to decide weather to raise the speeding fine to £65. the money would go on victims of summut or other thats nothing to do with cars, motors, fun, in any way shape or form!
oh how i hate my goverment

TBH i hate the government with a passion, and in reality about 1 quid from each fine will make it through all the red tape and admin
but, i feel people who speed should have a higher penalty
think about it, 30 quid for having illegal plates OR 60 quid for doing 40 odd in a 30

i herd this a while ago. Apparently they want to increase the speeding fine to put money into victims support for totally unrelated crimes. In simple terms speeders will be paying for conselling for people who have been mugged or domestic violence.
I dunno how they fink they can get away with doing this. Admitedly a £5 increase is not huge BUT they should be using the money to make the roads safer. They would get a lot less gip about speed cameras if they were in places that were dangerous and if they did illustrate some efforts to improve safety on the roads. The pigs are a fooking joke.

mate of mine just been caught this week doin 168 on the m4, got 1yr ban, 2k fine and 24points( dont ask how that works but it IS correct), think the points should go and fnies should increase, at least then insurance dont kill u that much :S
