Fibreglassing again people

once i got my shape on my builds how should i apply the fibreglass matt, cut into stripes and then dip in resin then apply or staple matt in place then apply resin with a brush

Any help appreciated guys

Id lay the matt over and then brush loads of resin over the top... Just my 2cents. Its like paper mashe (spelling) at skool?

how do u stop it from sticking to the masking tape u lay 2 the floor etc??

it wont, if you cover the surface in masking tape itll be there forever. cover it in clingfilm or something the resin cant soak into if u want it to be removable

i still dont get it, so u lay the masking tape 2 the carpet, then when u remove the shape u have created, the tape will come out wiv it??

rite o! got the haynes ice manual here. ses to put the masking tape down then cover it in a waxy polish (suppose shoe dubbing would work) then it lays the matting over the whole floor in 1 and pushes into place roughly. then use plenty of resis to soak the matting all the way through. once that is done its applied on in 3-4" strips to build up thickness and they use a roller to get all the air out.
