Looks good dude... BUT
Have you got some fans under there or not.. Cos you are covering the heatsinks... My JL amps get pretty hot when im at cruises and meets.. yours might go into meltdown without some...
Just a thought...
Other than that is Minty McMmintyson

Looking very neat and tidy fella. Good equipment also.
As advised, i'd look at some fans though. Put them in the corners and get them blowing accross the amps, so that the hot air just flows off and away. Dont point them onto the amps themselves though.

Steve, Daimo - good points. As it stands there isn't any fans fitted which concerns me a fair bit TBH! Don't really want it all melting It's going back in week after next for some lil tweaks and setting up anyway so I'm going to hopefully get something sorted then
T.CorsaSRI - The standard battery is a bag of shite I've got a 1.2 farad power cap but would have been much better off getting an uprated altenator and larger battery first of all - that's still on my to-do list...
Thanks for the comments peeps

You shouldn't need another altenator. Go with a larger battery first. My old 15"s ran ok on the Frontera 60a battery. Cost me £50, and i still have it, and battery coves still fit
Deffo look at doing the fans yeah. Dont want the coil inside coming apart in the amps. = Big £££ and doesn't work.

Yeah good point, I just kinda figured that a bigger battery being charged by a feeble alternator would only be of temporary benefit?

Yesh im assuming on your corsa trotty there would only be a 55a alternator which wouldnt give uprated batteries (such as optima's or stingers) a decent charge.

My old 1.4 16v had a 45a or 47a battery.
I also didn't have a power cap. You will get away with just an upgraded battery fella.

not an optima yellow top which puts out over 1000 amps. A turbo diesel battery or something is fine, but i know for a fact my corsa couldnt cope with the yellow top, so every 2 weeks its getting charged by a 180 amp @15v industrial charger
