Join a reputable garage and be an apprentice. Nothing beats on the job training and experience. Go into the big garages tomorrow and ask. Take a copy or two of your CV.
To get into Motorsport Engineering, you need a degree and/or lots of contacts. Unless your something special, you wont get into the serious motorsport. Not trying to dampen your hopes, just telling you how it is.

i dont wanna jump in the deep end, just a plain old grease monkey job would be fine, and i would work my way up from there. is there anywhere you can find a list of employers that take on apprentices, cos thats sounds like the route i wanna take.
