If iv got a 1000 Watt Amp with 2 subs that can have 400 and 800 Watts max running through that amp, will this use the max 1000 watt outage to these subs? Also with 1000 Watts will that drain my battery big time?
Also is there a way of capping the outage of what i can let my amp do?

The max outputs of amps really isnt a reliable figure to go by - What you want is the RMS figures. If your amp is say 400w RMS and the total of the subs RMS is less than that, then you can "cap the outage" by turning the 'gain' down on the amp.
