theres a dealership in Manchester that supplies the F150, F350 (i think), Corvettes, Humvees etc. Had a look around last week and the pick ups are huuuuuuuge!
Had a sit in a Hummer and they are even bigger! Didn't dare ask for a test drive lol

niiice pick up but sod buying one of those with a 5lt engine within a year you'll spend another 15k on fuel alone  unless you can afford it of course 
Personally, nice cars, but they should stay over in the states, since i doubt the thing will go round corners that well

Fuel will be a killa but as i live 2 miles from work it wont be a major issue.
They handle believe me, better than most cars. Minimal body roll as they are built as a sports truck not a pick-up. Stiffened antirollbars etc.

LPG it, problem solved A few people i know say there isnt much loss in power with an LPG converstion unlike what alot of people think, plus it being about 30 odd pennies a litre, it will be cheap as chips to run and you can use it on longer trips, rather than going a few miles
looks nice though mate, get some piccies up when ya get it

You would have driven the Gen 1 5.8l non supercharged, admittidly a barge compared to the Gen 2 above.
Was Fords quick answer to the rising number of hot pickups that were coming out in the early 90's

a good friend of mine races these "pick-ups". about 95% of the racers have fords and while they're rapid they're a bit weighty and even with uprated suspension they're very hard to steer he says.
this season he's racing a holden and is 4 seconds a lap quicker round silverstone on a track day testing than he's ever achieved in his ford, and it's not even at full spec yet (not fiddled and fettled it yet).
sod the ford - go for a holden 
ps - twin-cabs are easier to insure, single-cabs are nigh on impossible!

Insurance is only gonna be £600 FC for me
The Holden is nice but as its based on a car as apose to a Pick-up then it will handle a lot better than the Ford will.
