I need to find out the tensile strength of Polyester, Rayon and Cotton, I have managed to find the tensile strength of Nylon but I can’t find the others anywhere.

If anyone has any figures for these materials or if anyone has any ideas how to find this out then please reply here!

Also does anyone know what diameter sewing threads are available in.

A very boring subject I know but I need to know this stuff. I’m doing a presentation in 10 DAYS !!!!!

yeah sorry mate its at college and i wont be able to get it. do a search on the net for tensile strength - should be in a table but i cant remember the name of it.

im not sure it will cover cotton etc....but worth a go.

i got a book that tells u all about it, u2u me exactly what u want an ill give u the info, its the best book in the world if ur doing any engineering based stuff
