My 1.2 16v with a shielded k&n, backbox and 14" alloys is struggling to do 90mph and certainly won't go any higher 
Its had a couple of problems with the ecu light coming on and has the jerkyness when cold likes others have had.
Could it be that my ecu is working on a "safe mode" ?
I have had 95 out of it on the motorway before... a few months ago and there was more left in it i think.
Its rated in the handbook as 105mph.

Ure not going to get much more then 90 on flat normal road. Maybe down a hill and a few miles run up.

my old 1.6 sport struggled to do 115, and thats rated at 119mph. Its not fooked, they are that slow.

having smaller wheels on maybe it. what are the standard ones? put 16's or 17's and you will probably go bit faster but accel will be shit... er shitter

it cant be out 10mph cause it say the top speed is 97. people say i have a well run engine for a 1 litre

My experiences with "book" speeds have always been to my advantage! lol.
My corsa 1.2 8v shud supposedly only do 93mph, but on my 13"s, i had 105 on the clocks.
My D Turbo should only do 111mph, but on my 14" before the tune, i had 117mph out of it!!
I'm very suprized a 1.2 16v (with 65odd bhp) is struggling to do over 90! I'm also very suprized that Kris TD's bro's 1.5TD cant do more than 90 either!
But then again, this is a funny world we live in.........i mean 1.0 12v corsa C doing 107mph!

corsa speedos are always out. my old 1.2 16v used to say 116mph ont he clock and i doubt it actually did anywere near that

i had this discussion yesterday regarding speedo's. speedos dont just 'go out'. new corsa c's if theyt read 107mph theyre doing 107mph. simple as

Mine has seen 113mph on the clocks before, had the standards on. It struggles to get over a ton with the 17's on. I can get 95-96 in 4th so surely there must be something up with yours.

if u have 17s on what do u expect. the rollin circumference is bigger so itll b well slower.

mattyb, book top speed for 1.2 8v is 96mph. Evzyboy, how the FRIG did you get your 1.0 to go that fast? The rev counter is normally very accurate and with the standard F13 box you can see around 125mph with a 6500rpm limit, your 1.0 will have a 6k limit and therefore a max attainable speed of 120mph. So this proves that your speedo is inaccurate.
