Just want to clear this up for anyone who is interested.
I have just contacted Central Scotland Police - Traffic Department regarding the law on window tints.
The law states that:
Windscreen must let in 75% light
Front/side windows must let in 70% light.
(Remember these figures include any original tint from the maunufacture, so you cant just apply a 75% tint to the window)

how do we mesure how much ligh is being let in?
i have dark smoke al round
and no manufactures tint

Adam Im sure youll be fine, but I recon you could get a tester from Halfords or somewhere like that.
But if you had them done by a company then they should be able to tell you what the % is.
