I assume he's thinking along the lines of heat soak but....
There is no where else to put them but need the rad!! If you can mount them apart from each other then they are both too small!
What was the final spec of the rebuild then mate?
Pics?

i spoke to velos. they sent me the kit they used for theirs minus the dta managment.
i have a braided oil hose from the block to the top of the turbo. then underneath this fixing is another threaded hole for another oil line. now im puzzled as to where this will go. i need another braided hose and union for this hole but i dunno where its supposed to go in the engine. can ya shed some light.

There is an oil feed and an oil return, I imagin thats what they both are. There will be another connection on the turbo?
What did velos give you in the kit? Im interested as I nearly turbo'd my 1.6 16v.

Steel rods and forged pistons?
You should be aiming for much more than 6psi if your running that spec and spending that sort of money!

i suppose. im just scared incase it goes tits up.
Il take it to my rolling road guy and he will sort it out for me.hes the one who rebuilt it. i just put the engine in. rebuilding is a bit above me.

Whats controlling the fueling?
You should really let Velos sort some DTA on it, no point in flash internals with crap management.

yeah, but its down to money just now. Hence the small boost limit. Once i save up a bit more cash then il go for a DTA managment and bigger injectors.
Itwill work fine with the fuel increased by the fse boost valve. i wont see the proper use of the turbo but itwill still see a safe 120 bhp just now.

thats a bit silly isnt it running a engine with fitting the oil return also u dont need the hose to be braided as there is no pressue
Also what will the spec be for running 120bhp?
What BHP are these engines std?
Will u be using the 5th injector with the FSE or only uprated injectors?

your right about running the engine without oil return as the turbo bearings will just melt
