what will the costs be and what is involved? im tired of people mocking my cars speed so i have decided that a 1.6 will do the trick, as i still want 'stuck to the road' handling!

u2u beardy or lee mitchell. Darren (ipswichcorsa) has just had a 1.6 conversion done by lee and hes impressed cant remember exactly how much he paid tho

cheers, im looking at doing it myself around august/september so i will need to get myself an engine soon to tweak before it goes in. im really looking at how much all the equipment will cost engine, gearbox, loom etc

yeah, i no, it sounds like a hairdryer as standard!
so i take it it doesn't cost that much more to get it fitted aswell if ipswichcorsa got the engine, gearbox and it fitted for £650 and an engine will cost £400ish about £250?

i know its 12 valve, it just has so little power i compare it to a milk float!
how much do you think i wud get for my engine? it is out of a t reg with 38k on it

I've just put a 1.6 in my mates 12 valve. he's happy with it!!

I've got another complete engine/gearbox/ecu/loom if you're interested?
