doing it 2night as i cant get bonnet open, is it a task getting a new1 fitted?

just make sure u know where it comes thru the bulkhead, tie string to it to follwo thru, rest of it is easy as pie

is it me or is this a downfall with most vauxhalls
im thinkin back to previous vauxhall cars ive owned and they all seem to have bonnet pull issues

yeah they get all stiff, wack plenty of grease on the spring and itll be ok

I think all vauxhall cables stretch easily... when i got my car i had to tighten the bonnet release... the accelerator AND clutch cable as all 3 had stretched!
Network Q obviously didn;t think they neeced doing though.........or maybe they couldn;t be ARSED!

How do you tighten it? As mines got well slack and i can only just open it.

front of the engine bay near the radiator... undo the clamp round the outer cable and pull more outer through to take the slack up.

don't close the bonnet untill your tightened the clamp down tightly!!!!!!!
or you'll not get the bonnet back open

and in most cases the clamp is ruted so get a new un before you stat
