iv got some rust on me sills near the seat belt mounts.

Do i have to cut it back and weld in a new peice of metal?

How do i get rid of the rust under the car, specially protecting the chasis, do i need to clean the inside of the sort of box section somehow or can i just spray some sort of rust protector in it?

soz for all the questions, any help much appreciated

rub it all down mate.prime it then put underseal over it
