Okay folks, I have got my eye on an Astra GSI 2.0 16V, and its a J reg. Should be nice and quick looking at the stats, and looks nice It's done 110k.
Should be able to pick her up for £1200.
Hopefully sell my Corsa 1.4 16V standard with 67k for £2500.
Would you ever sell your car to get an older one? I have a few debts I just wanna clear up, and the astra looks nice and has the engine I want. Will have extra £££ to spend on the engine!

Find a better example. Wouldn't touch 110k with a bargepole.

Luke, got a cold and synus pains.
There is a mint Astra Mk3 GSI for sale, with a couple of little mods, 17s e.t.c.
Has 92k on the clock, fsh. The guys wants £3000!! I offered him £2500 and he said no!
110K doesn't seems too bad, can always get the engine rebuilt. Redtops go forever though.

Alright mate, I'm okay.
The astra isn't local, down south a little.
Just found another one on autotrader, J reg with 51K on the clock! £3000 though!

100k is high for an astra, so worth looking around. Wont be easy to sell again later on..

i sold my x-plate corsa for a t-plate civic of similar value with much higher power.
then sold that for an h-plate calibra of same power again to clear some debt.
i don't think it's stupid.
i'd be cautious of the high mileage, although it is cheap

as long as its been serviced regually the miles dont matter
16v engine go round the clock twice as long as there loked after
and a 2nd hand retop aint gonna cost more than £500 if you blow it up
so i say get the astra
