U cant fit an SXI gear kjnow to a stanrad corsa c easily mate. I had a standard one and looked into getitna n sxi jobbie, but to fit an sxi one, u need to buy the gear knob then all the linkage into the actual greabox.
ended up getitna wee momo fucker

pull/twist at the old one till it pops off, thenwith the momo all u do is stick it on the metal shaft and tighten up the grubscrews on it. (think there might eb a rubber addaptor thing aswellu slip in, cannae mind) Most of them cum with basic instructions anyway mate. To remove the leather gear gator, simple pluu the leather towards u (up the watyy) and it will unclip fromthe center console part.
Then u will have to remove the staples that holds the leather to the plastic ring thing, that clips onto the center console.
Easiest thing is to pull it out, as it just pops back in anyway and it will let u see wat am talkinb bout

I have the SRi/SXi leathers spare. I personally thought they looked awful and changed them for the ordinary ones available on the 'lesser' models. If you want them, give me a shout.
As to the removing of the gear knob, I did this and it was a bitch. Read thread below.
