Just bought a laptop, but want to connect to net on it now and again. Is it possible to use my BT broadband CD, load the stuff up on the laptop and just then switch the modem over onto the laptop rather than buy all this other rubbish?

just a fairly basic laptop, Toshiba one. Mainly gonna use it to run VAG COM for the car, plus the odd game here and there
