My car, over 50-60 km/h makes a strange buzz, even when I don't have a gear selected, as if it is idling in 6000 rpm!!! What can this be? Does anyone have a clue?

im not really 100% understanding your question

is it buzzing as if the idle is eratic or is it actually idleing funny and buzzing also??

Sorry if I cannot make myself clear. Over 50 km/h, it buzzes very loud no matter if it idles in 6000 rpm or in 950(with no gear selected but leaving the car going)...

o right now i get ya, have you any idea where the noise is coming from?? My old sri used to make a buzzing noise and the quicker i went the louder it got...it turned out to be the speedo cable was on the way out!! Just a guess...
