excellent for the money,i had the 12 inch dual voice coil and it was very loud and punchy in a small sealed box,i run it on a mrv-t707 amp.

Depends on wat sound u like. I much prefer my JL 12 W3- V2 but was a tad over £200 for the 1 if i remember rightly.

how much better for the money? the JL ones uv got are 179 now and the type R is 99 pound, like how much better than the old vibe p3`s are the Type R

I got one running off a MRD-M300 and it sounds wicked. cant complain at all. sounds better than my mates subs much harder kick and drops lower than his too. hes running a Sony 10". Ive just got another 1 now though cos want to start expanding my system to something a bit more monsterous!

obviously depends on ya budget but I agree with AdiSRI. Got 2 JL W3's and used to hav Type R's. There is no comparison between the 2. My JL's hit harder, drop lower and play overall better quality than the Typre R's ever did. Big difference in price tho, guess ya get what ya pay for!!
