The Oil on my Ecotec engine was starting to get a bit low around a month ago, so i decided to top-it up a little with semi-synthetic oil.
Since then when the car is cold it tends to stall itself, or the revs go down too low the engine cuts off.

Can anyone tell me if i shud be using a different type of oil because its an ecotec or if they have any idea why it would start cutting out?

Are the rev's bouncing up and down or just dropping???

Could be:

Throttle Position Sensor
Idel Air Control Valve
Air Flow meter

If its cutting out more then likely the TPS
