i had this prob but mine was an easy sollution, the black plastic tubin from behind the heaters just slipped off the back of the vent, make sure its still clipped in.

i was in a garage earlier and saw a guy remove a heating unit thingy...he took it out and took a soldering iron to it n i think he fixed it. dunno if a haynes manual would help anyone either?

Could be one of a few things. Check as the guys said the duckting. Also check the the wire connection to the flap. IE, when you turn the dial from hot to cold, does it actuate the flap?
Is is happened all of a sudden or has it been progressive. If it has gone progressively worse then it'll be your heater matrix getting clogged.
Easy to flush out, all you have to do is reach down behind the engine and find the two narrow rubber hoses which go into the bulkhead. Take these off and jubilee clip one end of a hose pipe to one of the outlets. Then blast water through it. Should dislodge any of the sludge inside.
