I'm wanting some perspex in my boot build. Can i buy it in b&q or is it in more specialist shops? Also if i cut it with a jigsaw will i be left with rough edges?

Yes, B&Q should sell it. Take care if your using a jigsaw 'cos perspex will shatter, you might be best to use a hacksaw.

I'm not saying its going to break, but care should be taken as perspex is naturally brittle, especially with age and exposure to UV light. Thinner sheet is also more likely to break than thicker stuff.

They shouldn't be too bad. You can get a purpose made perspex polish which will make the edges glass smooth. An abrasive polish such as Brasso or a car type cutting compound will give the same effect.

i'm wanting to put the perspex above my 6x9s. What sort of gap should i leave so that it doesn't muffle the sound from the speakers?
