Hey all! I'm looking at getting Sky Digital £40m Package as you get the instalation & box/dish for a £1.
Thing is if i wanna run it off the tv downstairs and the room upstairs, what do i need to watch the different channels on each tv?
Cheers

not sure about the box but seperate subscription is about an extra tenner a month i think. or you could just run a cable upstairs but then you have to watch the same channel as downstairs.

An extra subscription is usually £15 a month extra and that will replicate the other package you have on ur original box.
To watch different channels you will need the extra box option which is £99 plus installation.
To watch the same channel on both TV's you need to run a length of tidy coaxial cable to upstairs and buy a TV link if you want to be able to change channels from upstairs

dont bother with freeview its shite. I would just get one sky box. connect this to a splitter, send one cable to your downstairs tv and the other cable to the upstairs tv via a booster (get em in argos, not expensive) to keep the picture quality.

^^ what u on aboot?
The Sky digiboxes have RF outputs, no splitter is required and the signal is strong for at least 20 - 30 metres of cable

does it? we had all the cable fitted in to the walls when the house was bein built and used them so never noticed. we did used to have a lot of picture quality probs though before we put the booster in. but then again the sky goes to 6 tv's

Yeah the sky boxes (even the oldest pace one) have two RF outputs that are already boosted. If one RF output is split between more than 2 extra TV's then a booster will defo be required
