I need to format a Windows 98 computer, And restore an upgraded 98 to xp, back to 98. Can anyone help me do this?

You can't.
Unless you specified to backup your existing OS before you upgraded.

Partition software is extremely useful for organising partitions yes, but how it would help you change from XP to 98 is really up for debate.......

No, unless you backed up the original OS it CANNOT be done.

Yes, you could just flatten the drive and start again with a fresh copy of 98.

Are you on the wind up? There will be nothing on the drive after a format. You will need to install an OS, it won't even boot.

Ditto that - the drive is going to be nicely blank once you've formatted it - I hope you've got a Win98 CD kicking around?
