HKS? My mates HKS filter on his A3 sounds like a fucking dump valve when he revs it highly and then eases off

yeah HKS - everyone keeps asking if i have a dump valve on, and they look shocked when i say no - its just the filter

erm pass - how would i go about doing that - cant exactly stick it in the washing machine - i'll try and if it does clean up i'll keep it as a spare

can get specific filter cleaning stuff i think, well you can get K+N stuff, would probably work the same.
Might be past cleaning though
