The site looks really good and well thought out, just there are problems with using just HTML, like security, but also I find it so much effort to update some of the old sites I have done now, I'm thinking of re-doing the lot in PHP now I have learned to do it...

Just using dreamweaver, i use the code editing facility in that to cut out most of the crap, most of the time its quite good,
used fireworks to create the layouts and graphics

No one really uses Perl anymore because PHP is much more powerful and can run a lot faster... PHP is also a hell of a lot easier to do that Perl.

looks good mate, but on the menu bar at the top, sharpen the text and i would have personally put a floating frame in the centre of the white space, which would mean that the side menu will always be there...making it easier for the user
However, reedy G.T.F with your stupid post about security in HTML All webpages use HTML, otherwise nothing would show up on the screen there isnt any security in HTML what so ever, everything is processed on the client machine so it can all be viewed etc.
However, if you wish to do logins and other backend stuff (that gets processed before being set to the client machine) then yea, you need to use a server side script language like php, asp, cgi, jsp etc
So, if you havnt got anything that involves a database, or logins, or other backend stuff, then why wack the HTML code in a php file? only thing it will do is give it a different file extension and waste CPU cycles
