Less than that if you look in the right place. I paid 20 for one and they're occasionally on eBay for less than this.

There's one on there now although its not a bargain!

If you hang around kit car forums long enough you'll usually see someone putting an XE in a RWD car and binning their FWD box and shafts

mine blew up 12 miles after fitting my valver,so i needed on quick

they are normally in the trade papers for between £30-50.
i left the dirt on my second one as cleaning and painting the first f20 cursed it

There's nothing you can really check on them, its a little bit buyer beware to be honest. The good news is that so long as there isn't a hole in the side of it they're normally OK.

I'd check the reason for sale as a matter of course. If the engine has been put in something else that doesn't require it then you're OK, or if the entire car is being stripped for bits then you should be as well. Just make sure the seller doesn't um and ahhh when you try and get it out of them that it was whining like a cat at midnight and they replaced based on that!

never heard of the f20 gearbox replacement before what are the benefits of swapping a 5 speed for a 5 speed box?

Wont fit on small block engines (1.6 16v and below).

F20 box is not for my 1.4 engine, its for my turbo
