just took my badges off and it looks really good. i then took off the side strips and it left a white line all the way down the car. took it to a body shop and was told "the lines under the laquer must be why they put the strip on" and was told it would need a respray (which means the whole of the car basically) which i am not even gonna consider. any one else had this problem? im now painting the side strips to put them back on.

Yup, u mean these lines.
and yes, it is a respray job (doors, wings and rear 3/4 panels).
Dont b a wuss, respray it.

i cant afford a respray. just painted the strips black and gna put em bk on.

yeh spray the strips and put them back on, looks better imo

I have a black SRi, took off the horible red strips, and there was a white line underneath, but only one side!!
I just bought some thinner black ones to cover them
