changed my steering after a lot of time trying to get old 1 off now horn wont work, i used a polished alu boss and issotta steering wheel, any one else had problems?

the live wire was already coming out of boss which connects into back of new wheel and earth wire comes from steering wheel to go between hub and wheel, but i cheched the live and it has no power and now cant get boss off!
