i know its a bad idea but to be honest i havnt heard of any one having any bad problems with this !

im wanting to put my -60 springs on standard shocks good idea how long will i last on standard dampers etc

they will last for ages just the ride will be bouncy and only get worse over time, not good on corners unless road is completely flat

ride was dreadfull on mine, dangerous if u hit a bump on an uneven surface on a corner, i was nearly flung into oncoming traffic

^^^ agreed, dont do it mate u will only be taking them off agian too fit the dampers

im on -40mm on standard shocks. the handling isnt particularly great and the body roll of the car is rediulous. Also car bouce around quite alot.

Save yer money and get some coilovers

I got -40mm on standards and its better than it was and ride is ok but a bit bouncy..if your goin -60mm I would up-rate bushes & dampers.. power-flex kits are good for bushes, etc !!

the car will sitting on the bumpstops, allowing very little or no movement of the piston.

Thus making it feel like u have metal bars for springs

I had a 1.2 trip on a P reg a few years back, 60mm springs on standard shocks, stuck like glue, but was vaery hard, like a go kart, hasd on 3 years, never broke the shocks, passed MOT every year no probs

well my mate drove round on -50mm springs on a clio and they lasted 2 3months. dangerous ride too, it used to throw you all over the place on bumpy roads. IMO i'd rather spend bit extra on shocks and get good ride and good looks.
