Use car audio equipment in a home hi fi system. So for example. If you buy a hi fi amplifier and connect the speakers to it.

i'm thinking of getting a cheap sub in a box and some components or hifi speakers to put in my room.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Most home amplifier systems run between 8 and 16 ohms. Most car speakers run at 4 ohms. Connect speakers up and ull either damage the amp or kill the sub
