Ive got a Corsa C with universal DTM mirors on the propper Corsa C base plates, the fit between mirror and base plate is shocking and it makes my car look rough. I was thinking of smoothing them into the base plates. Ive seen this done on Saxos etc. Has anyone done this to a corsa (B or C) does it give you any grief and is it expensive? Ta

would imagine there is a fair bit of movment and vibration n the mirrors, so mite crack using fiberglass and filler. maybe bumper filler?

Yeah Gregs right! I was going to get my mirrors smoothed in but the bodyshop advised me against it because of the amount of vibrations-opening/shutting door/driving etc would just cause them to crack. The bodyshop I go to did this on one corsa before and this just kept happening.

thats what you get from universal products. you can get corsa tailored mirrors. well unless you want steiny ones at £120 a side

I just finished doing this to my mirrors a couple of weeks ago. I used fibreglass to smooth them in, and then filler on top of this to get it lovely and smooth.

Theyve since been sprayed and leds put in the holes for side repeaters. They used to vibrate a lot at speed, or when it was windy, but they dont anymore. I'm hoping they wont develope any cracks, but time will tell
