ye mate, as at the end of the day if any bits go down the trumpets (small birds, stones ) then its not very good.

basic the same as not having a air filter on the car

that pics is off the BAT rally car think was in there show room

easyest way to explain

More air and fuel a engine gets more power it makes
normal engine has 1 throttle bodys, so when u have the engine has 4 throttle bodys (1 per cly) it can suck in 4 times more air, so more fuel can be added meaning more power

same thing with Carbs just throttle bodys are ECU driving and they control how much fuel it needed, where carbs are just set and thats it
