hey all, i have 17" wheels with et40 offset on my corsa-c sri and they rub really often, especially if i have people in my car.
what is the best way for me to correct this without gettin smaller wheels?

any help appreciated thx

Thats strange seeing as the standard 16" ones are ET40. There can't be much difference in the overall size.

what size are your tyres and have u had it lowered??

easiest thing to do is :

unbolt rear arches,

remove the bolts,

stick the arches on with silicone etc.

stop the wheels rubbing on the arch bolts as that is the common cause of rubbing

oh right.... i used to get scrubbage on the lower part of the rear bumper when the car was loaded....

i hope u have trimmed the edges of ur combat stuff, cos it will rub like a bitch

yeh standard... on 17".... yep all trimmed.... still get an ickle bit of scrubbage... only with a load tho...

other than that.....

really happey with how well it fitted...

only probs i had with mine was that the edges of the bumpers seemed to stick in quite a bit (if u knwo wat i mean)

and i got rubbing on the back and on the front when hitting dips...

easily sorted with a wee trim of the fiberglass

ive got the low profile tyres 205/40zr-17and the sri is naturaly lowered by 15mm

when i had my 1.0 its was on et37 17's and lowered 30mm and it rubbed with a full load and if i drove stupid but not much. When i got my SRi and put these 17's on it rubbed loads more with just me so lower it and it should stiffen the car up and stop it rubbing so much.

My 18s used to rub like a beeatch, against the rear arch bolt and my exhaust so watch out for that one - all sorted now tho.
