22 - still young...i believe the main insurance 'drop' to be 25.
4 years driving isnt loads...most companies want 7-10 before dropping ur premium properly
Not telling insurance was probably a wise option.......altho what caused the damange to your car? Someones fence or was it a bollard? If that was damaged, you were lucky some1 didnt report u.
I believe it does affect premium. When my mate renewed his, he was told his premium had risen as his last car was stolen from the property he was living at.

i didnt claim off insurance, i did tell them about the crash tho cos was gunna claim before they told me they were gunna write the car off so i withdrew my claim, police were at the accident, the fence was ripped apart but they didnt claim off me........ i think its the unrecovered loss thats done it for me

i paying too much for insurance, and quite frankly can't afford it! and petrol costs!

I would be lovin it with only 800£!
hoping things will sort out for the better when i hit 21. chance would be a fine thing tho

the thing is, i know 1 of the main reasons mine is lower is cos
1. i only do about 8k a year
2. ive got 2 kids so they class u as a safer driver
3. im a woman so im apparently safer also

I will only have insurance because it is a legal requirement. They rape you as soon as it comes to claims...

Matty B,
Insurance drops when your 21.
25 is the major one.
Comapnies will see 3 years as ample enough experience.
