When changing the cam belt do i have to replace anything else (i heard of maybe some tensioners ??? ) any help would be apreceated

yeah its better to change the tensioners and running gear, they are prone to going on corsas

Dont have to but best to.
There is a autotensioner and some pullies/rollers whatever you want to call them.
Autovaux will sell you a complete kit for a good price.

if its the 8v then you dont normallaly have but if its an ecotec then definetly replace tensioner and iderler pulley, most palces do a kit with it all included

what engine is it?
i only done a water pump timing belt and tensioner last week on my 1.2 8V.
Simple enough if yer confident with your mechanical skills

a timing kit costs about £82 for 1.4 16v ecotec
thats for belt and tensioners etc

14 moths ago one of the tesioners disitergrated and cused my cam belt to snap and basicaly destroyed my engine lol so took it back to garage under warranty then 2 weeks after having it back the car was making a funny noise so went back for the water pump.
so basicaly what your saying is i need a full timing belt kit including waterpump
and its a 98 1.4 sport

very true i just had mine done and vaux quoted around 210, but i had it done with vaux parts at my local gargae so got it done cheaper than that! LOL
