i clumsily dropped me keys down a drain the other nite while rushing to open door and get a cd out. and my car was parked over the grid so i nearly broke down i tears. but luckily i got a spare set at home so i got a mate to nip me home to get me spare key and a special surgical glove(live on a farm).

got bk to me car started it with the spare set then it just died on me wiv the orange light flashing (wtf) but mates rolled me forward. then i lifted up the rain and got a mate to hold me legs as i reached down the drain in to the manky water which had sick and worms in and decomposed cats in!!!!!! yuk.

i was there for 5 mins and cudnt find owt and began shitin me self until i had 1 last go and mangaed to pull em out wiv a load of worms. put em in a glove and stook em in a sink wiv fairy and demestos for a few hours.

then when i got home i washed me hands & arms in swarfega and had a long shower then left the keys in sum old afterhave and deoderant to take the smell off. what a crap nite !!!!!!

there's a transponder in the key to disarm the immobiliser. with out the transpoonder, the fuel is cutout. it ran for a few seconds on what was in the fuel rail/pipes, before cutting out when that was gone.

you need the transponder from the key you dropped in the drain to make it start again.
new ones are dear i think.

if you have a seperate alarm/immobiliser to the standard vauxhall one, the you could glue/tape the transponder you have left to the inside of the ignition cowling in range of the receiver, and just get a couple of blank keys cut from a shoe repair place.
