I have the Ai606 and often wondered how it's react in an accident.
Coz even if the engine stalls or cuts out them the key is still turned in the ignition so the locks don't pop
And I don't think it's linked to airbag deployment or anything?

Exactly the same question i wanna know Dav...
i know exactly how mine is wired in, and it isnt connected to the airbag or anything like that. It also doesnt pop doors when u stall!

Not sure exactly how but it does I had AI606 on my old sri and when i had a head on it unlocked doors etc....a mate of mine fits alarms for a living ill ask him

im no genius but...........
why dont you crack your windscreen, u should get it replaced free of charge(i no i can if it cracks), then whilst the dude is replacing the windscreen reach in + grab your keys
ps. i havent read anyone else answer yet so if someone else has already put this idea then they can fuck off

The whole system gets disabled when you have am impact that causes the fuel cut-out switch to operate. I beleive the alarm is wired into this circuit.
Dont hold me to that though

anyone remember back at trax when the aa where breaking into a car on the stand that had the carisma tvr as the keys were locked in the ignition. And there was hundreds of people watching how they did it!! ha ha
