are the clocks in a 1995 gsi the same as the clocks in a 1999 corsa 1.6 sport?

maybe not as gsi's are mechanical and 1999 are electronic

Nope.

GSi, cable drive, starts at 10mph
Sport, electronic, starts at zero, works in reverse.
