You can buy replacement light weight panels in:

Fibreglass
Carbon Fibre
Kevlar
GRP

There isnt much point though on a road car as theres so many issues you should look at to loose weight first. Start with yourself.

what do you think fibreglass is, the plastic is the resin they mix with the glass strands.
grp and fibreglass are exactly the same.

You could be right, but I was sure that GRP is stronger somehow...because of the way they make it or something!?

Im no chemist!

Just that you get GRP tank/sump guards - something that fibreglass would never be used for, so it must be stronger.

Wings - very light anyway
doors - custom doors = ££££££££
rear 1/4 - well if you dont do the doors you wont do this
boot - Would be interested to see someone make a carbon fibre boot (smoothed without reg recess) as its a fairly easy panel.
Windows - swap for perspex
bonnet - complete carbon bonnet

take off any kit, and swap wheels for lightweight 15"s.

Then take out all the interior AK style.

prosport/spec do a GRP boot lid, as with a GRP bonnet, and wings and rear panels (rears need to be cut out then replaced with GRP items)
