he's funny on his DVDs.but phoenix nights is abit weak personally, few laughs but nothing great But yea, i think if ya saw him live you would be in stiches

Top of the Tower is class, as is Phoenix Nights. The more you watch PN the more you see subtle jokes and puns you might have missed first time.

I will accept though that it is all pretty much Northern based observational comedy so some people aren't going to get it, for me though I only live about 30mins from Bolton and he's spot on with most of the stuff. Going Blackpool, illuminations, friday chippy tea, school trips, dinner ladies, crap pop, street sales, holidays abroad, running in slippers etc etc, I even remember the lasses round here making rose perfume!

Peter Kay is a legend, were at the top but were goin higher!

Not to keen on Phoneix Nights tho, his live vids are much funnier, defo wanna watch him live this year if he's touring!

Phoenix Nights is genius, so many subtle jokes its unbleieveble. find new ones evertime i watch. His stand up is amazing, its all so true and yes it is very "northern humour" so some might not get it. But lets not forget Dave Spikey aswell - peters writing partener for both his live stuff and PN.
