GSi's are like rocking horse shit to find at scrap yards
Autovaux do parts slightly cheaper than the dealers, but it'll be around £250 mark
Could try Dixon Vauxhall spares Outwood (dont know number tho) but you'll be struggling to source a second hand one mate.
Do you defo need a new one or does the old one just need a clean??

but if it runs alongside the ecu how will it work?

ages ago when it idled funny luke was convinced it was idle control valve but i said then it was air flow meter. gave it a good clean and it sorted it but couple weeks later its back again idling at between 2 and 3k this time with engine management light on so did the test and low and behold its the air flow meter

What resistance should they sit at? Between 45 and 75 Ohm isn't it? Can you not just put a resistor in there?

You could also look at the spec for the units for sale on eBay, find one similar bore and use that.
